Roland – Portfolio Manager
Roland Jude Thng is a Portfolio Manager at JMC Capital Group, where he specializes in systematic macro strategies and oversees the firm’s multi-asset funds. With decades of investment management experience, Roland has developed deep expertise in equities, trading, and hedge fund strategies.
Throughout his career, Roland has held key investment roles at prominent financial institutions. He previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Dektos Investment Corporation, managing equities and macro strategies, and was a Portfolio Manager at Swiss-Asia Financial Services, where he was part of an investment team managing approximately US$3 billion. His foundational experience includes trading FX and government bonds at OCBC and serving as an Analyst at the NUS Investment Office, where he contributed to the allocation of a US$2 billion endowment fund.
Roland holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the National University of Singapore. His extensive background in exchange-traded derivatives and multi-asset allocation strengthens JMC’s capability in delivering robust, research-driven investment performance.
Anthony Ho – CEO
Anthony Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of JMC Capital Group and JMC Capital Asset Management Singapore. A veteran of the global asset management industry with over 30 years of experience, Mr. Ho specializes in providing sophisticated investment solutions for global institutional and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. He currently leads the Group’s core operations and international expansion across Hong Kong, Singapore, and global markets.
Prior to joining JMC, Mr. Ho spent over 15 years at Fidelity International in Hong Kong and Europe, serving as Executive Director and Head of Asian Institutional Investment. His career is marked by senior leadership roles at premier global institutions, including Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management (HK) and Deputy CEO & Chief Investment Officer at Amundi (HK).
Mr. Ho also brings extensive experience from the Chinese asset management sector, having served as CEO of CIFM Asset Management (HK) and Deputy CEO of China Asset Management (HK). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and an MBA from the University of New South Wales. His deep expertise in global research and strategic partnerships continues to drive JMC’s mission in the global financial landscape.
Richard Chee – Board Director
Steering strategic investments and oversees portfolio growth across key sectors including healthcare, sustainability, consumer goods, and emerging technologies. With over 25 years of professional experience, Richard brings a unique blend of private equity acumen and deep corporate expertise to the firm.
Prior to leading JMC Fund, Richard held senior roles in multinational corporations, where he was instrumental in brand building, market entry strategy, and regional business expansion. He has worked with several iconic global brands, successfully scaling operations across Asia-Pacific and enhancing brand equity through localized strategies and cross-cultural leadership.
Richard’s strength lies in identifying transformative growth opportunities and unlocking value through strategic partnerships, operational excellence, and brand-led innovation. His dual experience in corporate and investment landscapes enables him to bridge the gap between capital and business needs by actively empowering the companies it backs.
Haryanto Soemito – Board Director
Haryanto Soemito serves as a Board Director at JMC Capital Group. A dynamic leader and investment veteran, he brings extensive experience in wealth creation, venture building, and impact-driven investments to the firm. He is widely recognized for his strategic vision in identifying and scaling innovative solutions across global markets.
In addition to his role at JMC, Haryanto is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Sayris Capital, a firm dedicated to sustainable investing and climate action. With over a decade of experience in investment venture building, he has played a pivotal role in developing solar energy projects across Southeast Asia and advancing technologies in the agri-tech and healthcare sectors. His expertise lies in navigating complex regulatory environments and building robust investor and government relationships.
Haryanto previously served as a Venture Partner for a boutique GreenTech venture capital firm in Indonesia, where he specialized in smart city solutions.
